Athletes & Chiropractic
It is no coincidence that the top athletes in the world support chiropractic. They know something that many others haven`t figured out, CHIROPRACTIC WORKS!
You are already hear it from us, but it never hurts to hear it from those all-stars you watch on television.
- John Stockton - "...it`s been great for me, and for my family."
- Tom Brady - "I started coming to Dr. Athens` office and started getting treatment, and I tell you, from that day on, I said this is something that - if I`m going to continue to play athletics - I`ve always got to be concerned about....And as long as I see the chiropractor, I feel like I`m one step ahead of the game."
- Lance Armstrong - "The team wasn`t just riders. It was the mechanics, masseurs, chefs, soigneurs, and doctors. But the most important man on the team may have been the chiropractor."
-
Tiger Woods -
Being a chiropractor patient has really helped me immensely."
"...lifting weights and seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis has made me a better golfer. I've been going to Chiropractors for as long as I can remember. It's as important to my training as practicing my swing - Arnold Schwarzenegger - "You chiropractic doctors are really miracle workers, and that`s why it`s really great to have you here..."
- Dan O`Brien - "If it were not for Chiropractic, I would not have won the gold medal."
- Joe Montana - "Chiropractic care works for me."
- Evander Holyfield - "I have to have an adjustment before I go into the ring...The majority of boxers go to get that edge."
- Barry Bonds - "I go to my chiropractor on a regular basis, because I want to prolong my career as long as possible."
Whether it is during the season or in the off-season, many athletes are seeking the competitive advantage that chiropractic care offers. As Mike Gentry, the assistant athletic director for athletic performance at Virginia Tech, states, "I see chiropractic as having two functions from my perspective. It helps our athletes return to competition faster if they have sustained some injuries, and secondly, it seems to be preventative, in the sense that it keeps our athletes more mobile and flexible and feeling better."
When you think about it, it`s hard to imagine how athletes take the physical and mental abuse that competition places on their bodies. Looking at the various levels and varieties of competitions you can quickly see why many athletes have limited careers. In chiropractic, these same athletes can not only continue to perform with the edge but they will greatly reduce the long term effects that those injuries and abuse will have on their years after competition. In general, you could conclude that chiropractic takes care of your body for today and tomorrow!
From pee-wee league to the pros, chiropractic offers an advantage that can lead anyone to the winners circle in sports and in life.
